Welcome to the Minnesota Soybean See for Yourself Mission Blog

See for Yourself. That’s what more than 20 Minnesota soybean producers are doing this week on two separate missions to observe their soybean checkoff in action. Track the trips all week through daily reports on this blog.

One group of growers will travel to Chile to learn about soybean checkoff research conducted at the University of Minnesota’s winter nurseries in Santiago. They’ll also meet with the largest producer of poultry and pork products in Chile, visit a biodiesel consortium and much more. Another group of growers will visit export facilities and travel to the Port of New Orleans to learn about the international marketing of soybeans. They’ll also participate in the International Poultry Expo in Atlanta, Georgia and meet with several international trade delegations from Asia and the Mideast.
